Yesterday saw the release of Yes’ Greatest Video Hits on DVD.

It looks like a friend and I will be going to see the More Drama tour as they just added a date in Milwaukee. Me being a prog dork who’s been listening to Yes for 20 years and he being a Yes fan and former bass player, the chance to meet Chris Squire is not to be missed.

And it also saw the release of the new Son Volt album, Okemah and the Melody of Riot.

Entertainment Weekly reviewed it and gave it a B or a B+. As I said previously, I picked up their Afterglow 61 EP recently.

I still can’t figure out how the “Radio Mix” of “Afterglow 61″ differs from the album version. But I will say that the version of “Medication” here is fucking awesome! I love how it gradually picks up speed as it goes on and the end is like this jammin’…country raga, for lack of a better term. Good stuff!
