Neil Young’s website is saying that his new album is entitled Prairie Wind and will be released on September 20th. It will feature a DVD as well of Young and the band recording the album. The site also claims that Neil will be working on Archives Vol. 1 next. Yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it. He has been talking about an archives project for years and something always comes up to delay it. Fuck, On the Beach only got an official release, what – a couple years ago? It’ll be interesting to see what appears on the set, if he does release it. Hard core fans damned the archives years ago. And I’ve even met a couple fairly casual Neil Young fans who owned Chrome Dreams.
