Lots of news happening recently.

Firstly there are some proggy shows coming up at Shank Hall:

Kopecky, Far Corner - 10 September
Kopecky is an instrumental progerssive rock band from Milwaukee. Bassist William Kopecky also play in Far Corner, a "chamber rock" band featuring keys, cello, bass, and percussion.

Adrian Belew - 11 September

Daryl Stuermer - 28 December
Daryl was the tour guitarist/bassist for Genesis from 1978-1997.

Speaking of Genesis, former member Steve Hackett is re-releasing his first four solo albums (Voyage of the Acolyte, Please Don't Touch, Spectral Mornings, and Defector) all remastered and with bonus tracks. They'll be in stores on 19 September. Go to Steve's site for more info.

Also in the former member of Genesis category, Peter Gabriel has 2 DVDs coming out: "Africa Calling - Live 8 at Eden" and "Peter Gabriel Still Growing Up, Live and Unwrapped".

Everyone knows the synthesizer solo at the end of "Lucky Man" by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. Well, the inventor of that synthesizer lost his battle with brain cancer. R.I.P. Bob Moog.
