The Madison Early Music Festival has been announced. It takes place on 8-15 July and will be held at the UW School of Music in the Humanities Building. (Looking at the brochure, I see that the full name is the Mosse Humanities Building. I went to school here for 5 years and had a million classes in that building but never knew the Mosee bit.) The theme this year is Music from the Iberian Peninsula.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison announces its seventh annual Madison Early Music Festival and Workshop. MEMF was created to provide an opportunity for musicians, scholars, teachers and early music enthusiasts to gather and exchange information and ideas about Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music and to bring acclaimed early music artists to the Midwest to perform in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin. There are opportunities for everyone from those who simply enjoy listening to concerts and lectures to early music scholars and performance opportunities for amateurs and professionals. All listeners, singers, players and dancers are welcome!
The Festival Concert Series consists of seven concerts and features MEMF guest artists-in-residence ensembles Ex Umbris, The Baltimore Consort, Chatham Baroque, Piffaro, and the Ivory Consort. A free MEMF Participant Concert showcases participant consorts that have been coached throughout the week by MEMF faculty. The week culminates in an All-Festival Concert of choral and instrumental music of Francisco Guerrero as participants, faculty, and guest artists perform large scale works together.
