Living With War

May 5th, 2006

I know I’m dreadfully late with this one, but I’ll mention it anyway. Neil Young’s latest album is called Living With War and, as you can imagine, it’s about our predicament today with our ongoing venture in Iraq with Bush at the helm. Currently, you can listen to the whole thing up at Neil’s webpage. It features him with a rhythm section, chorus, and horn section. The rhythm section consists of Chad Cromwell on drums & Rick Rosas on bass, the same guys who played on Freedom. In addition, Niko Bolas is a co-producer here as he was on Freedom. He seems to turn to these guys when he’s disgusting with a Bush in the White House. I’m listening to it right now and it’s quite good. It has the same urgency and insistence that Freedom has. The raggedness of Crazy Horse just wouldn’t work here.

It is due this Tuesday, 8 May.

BTW – my Neil Young show is here.
