Live at Leeds Again

The Who recently returned to Leeds University, the site where they recorded their Live at Leeds album back on Valentine's Day 1970. I once wrote that, if an alien came down to earth and wanted to know what rock'n'roll was, then all you had to do was play them Live at Leeds and I still feel that way. If any of my readers happened to live in close proximity to the Echo Tap here in Madison during the mid-90s, then let my apologize for those early mornings when you had to suffer me and my friend Pete singing "Young Man Blues" after bar time. The album provided the soundtrack to my best trip on shrooms that I ever had.

Pete Townshend's website reprinted a neat preview of the show and BBC Radio 4 also did their own look at the show in preparation.
