Otis, Gob Iron, PT, FTP

While I still can't find decent Stooges show from the early years, I have found a nice soundboard recording of Otis Redding from 1966. It is downloading right now and, at a 200+K/sec rate, it will be done soon. The anniversary of his death was a couple days ago - 10 December - and he died here in Madison so I really ought to commemorate the anniversary.

Someone asked for some Gob Iron. I took a look at a couple sources tonight and didn't find any. But I shall keep looking.

Porcupine Tree fans may know that the band played 6 new songs on their brief tour this past fall. Since new material was to be had, the band asked venues to crack down on tapers. Thusly I've seen no shows from this tour available. Until today. The performance from 30 September in Manchester, UK is floating around. I don't have a line on a copy yet, but I'm working on it.

Lastly, I haven't posted a new show in over a week now due to continuing FTP problems. I hope to get them resolved ASAP as I've got some of Wilco's performance here in Madison last month ready to go. I'll also do the aforementioned Otis Redding thing. Another contender for posting is a recording of Gentle Giant in Cleveland from 1975. It was broadcast over the radio and it fantastic. If any of the guys in PROG are reading this, I just want to say that your harmony vocals rock and that you should definitely add "Knots" to the set. It's about time some heavy-duty counterpoint got laid on our asses.

Also expect some kind of holiday special, a solstice video, and who knows what.
