Majestic Theatre On Last Legs

Isthmus is reporting that the Majestic Theatre or Club Majestic or whatever it's called has ceased live music performances.

The long-embattled and controversial Majestic Theatre dance club and concert venue on King Street in downtown Madison is shutting down most of its operations, continuing only with a skeleton operation as a bar for one day per week. The Majestic's marquee is already bare, and most concerts scheduled there have been rebooked for other venues.

Unfortunately the owners didn't comment so it's unclear as to the venue's fate. I have to wonder if this is just a prelude to ownership change or can we look forward to another vacancy downtown? And will it still be used for the Wisconsin Film Festival?
