R.I.P. – "Sneaky" Pete Kleinow

January 9th, 2007

“Sneaky” Pete Kleinow has died. Not only did he help pioneer alternative country with Flying Burrito Brothers, but he also had quite a career in the movie industry as an animator and special effects artist. He worked on, amongst others, the original Gumby series and Army of Darkness. Quite a range there. I had no idea.

His memorial service to be held in Joshua Tree. This means that no one will have to steal his body at the airport as happened to Gram Parsons’ back in 1973.

What !! No Burrito show? Grand Theft Parsons , the movie about the smuggling of Parsons body out to Joshua Tree isn’t half bad. Granted it has Johnny Knoxville in it, but it’s a 99 cent rental a blockbuster.

I can’t post any shows right now so no Burrito show. I think I’m going to have to nuke’n'pave my PC, unfortunately. I’m going to see if my roommate’s PC is working tonight. Otherwise I’ll be going to a friend’s house to upload.

    And thanks for the links.
