Early Music Performances

If you're one of those people who thinks Elvis Presley to be thoroughly modern, then check out these early music events where retro goes back a little further than the days when Michael Jackson was black.

Lionheart presents "El Siglo de Oro" (The Century of Gold) in an exploration of rarely performed 16th century sacred music associated with the multicultural city of Toledo. Featuring the cosmopolitan sonorities of Morales and the playful exuberance of the music of Guerrero, the program culminates with Morales' "Missa Ave Maria."
