Just Like Dr. Seuss' Blues

Kevin Ryan, a music producer in Houston recently got in a heap of trouble for recording a series of parodies which saw him doing a killer imitation of Bob Dylan singing Dr. Seuss stories. Theodore Geisel’s estate lacks a sense of humor and slapped Ryan with a cease and desist order.

As with all things on the Internet, the songs live on. I’ve tracked down a couple of them still available for download.

“Green Eggs and Ham”

“Oh, the Thinks You Can Think”

Not only does Ryan do a great imitation of Dylan’s voice, but he also wrote & recorded songs which capture “that thin, that wild mercury sound” of Highway 61 Revisited perfectly.
