League of Crafty Guitarists Coming to Town with Fripp in Tow

The League of Crafty Guitarists is coming to Madison on 10 November and they're bringing Robert Fripp along for the ride. TLoCG is the touring face of Guitar Craft, a guitar retreat developed by Fripp. Participants not only learn to play the guitar, but they also engage in a brand of personal development that is Fripp-approved. (This makes sense if you know anything about Mr. Fripp.) No venue has been booked as of yet.

Fripp will be opening the show with his Frippertronic soundscapes followed The League and their amazing ensemble playing.

UPDATE: TLoCG's website now lists the location of the show as being the Majestic Theatre. . It's good to see that the Majestic, which is currently under new ownership and being renovated, is prog-friendly.

Also on the Crimson related front is the news that Tony Levin has a new album out on the 24th of next month called Stick Man. Samples are available at his MySpace page which probably has the largest collection of photos of Chapman stick players in the universe.
