I have posted a Hound Dog Taylor show previously so I won’t repeat any biographical commentary. Listeners are referred to that post for more on Hound Dog and The Houserockers.

Instead I’ll cut to the chase and say that I absolutely love HDT and was thrilled to finally get a hold of this show recently. This and the concert from 1972 which I’ve posted already are the only boots I’ve seen by Hound Dog. I’m still hoping that perhaps some stuff of his recorded at Florence’s Lounge & Liquors will show up someday.

This was recorded at the Ann Arbor Blues Festival on 9 September 1973. It’s a rough soundboard but still very lsitenable. Here’s the setlist as best as I can suss it out:
