Show #142: Causing a Silent Hooray (ELP)
I grabbed this Emerson, Lake and Palmer show recently and I've been listening to it a lot. It's been a while since I've posted any significant prog material so I thought now would be a good time.

The recording I got was pieced together from a couple different boots, one in stereo and the other in mono. They're good audience sources but it was the date of the show that attracted me. I don't have it exactly but it was recorded in 1972 in Germany but there's a dispute as to whether it was from the night in Karlsruhe or Hamburg. Regardless, what's neat about this recording is that it represents the Trilogy tour which official live albums ignore. Live versions of "Hoedown" are common enough and "The Sheriff" ended up on Welcome Back My Friends... but the meatier songs have not been represented.

Setlist:
Pictures at an Exhibition
The Endless Enigma
Tarkus

Emerson, Lake and Palmer
There is some footage of ELP from 1972 floating around. It was shot in Tokyo and is from what looks like a multiple generation copy of a videotape. Still, it's of decent enough quality. The pictures above are screencaps from my DVD. A couple excerpts are on YouTube including this one of "Eruption".
