pg scratch Pete Gabriel's New Cover Album

Every year Peter Gabriel says he’s got a new album on the way and most years something happens to push back the release date. This month PG revealed the tracklisting of what is to be his next album, one that is all covers. Scratch My Back is slated to be unleashed on 25 January and will have 12 songs:

“Heroes” (David Bowie)
“The Boy In The Bubble” (Paul Simon)
“Mirrorball” (Elbow)
“Flume” (Bon Iver)
“Listening Wind” (Talking Heads)
“The Power Of The Heart” (Lou Reed)
“My Body Is A Cage” (Arcade Fire)
“The Book Of Love” (The Magnetic Fields)
“I Think It’s Going To Rain Today” (Randy Newman)
“Apres Moi” (Regina Spektor)
“Philadelphia” (Neil Young)
“Street Spirit” (Radiohead)

Personally, I’ll believe this when I see it on a store shelf.

“The Book of Love” was on the soundtrack for the film Shall We Dance? and you can listen to it below.
