To Rebuild The Wall

November 11th, 2009

Last weekend I was with some friends rolling up characters for a new Dungeons & Dragons campaign we’re going to play when one of them quoted a Roger Waters song from his Amused To Death album. We all wondered what Rog was up to these days having gotten an opera out of his system. Well now I know.

He wants to rebuild The Wall:

Just a quick note to share with you that Roger Water’s manager has confirmed to NPF that “Roger is considering touring The Wall in 2010 and 2011.

Is Rog broke? He already toured for a couple years doing all of Dark Side of the Moon so do we really need another Floyd album done in its entirety?

New rock songs have trickled out from Waters’ pen over the past several years: “Each Small Candle”, “Flickering Flame”, “To Kill The Child”, and “Leaving Beirut”. Where is our concept album decrying American imperialism and how easily American are led into war? I want to hear Rog being angry about the present, not about the evils of stadium tours in the late 1970s.
