New Documentary on Norwegian Black Metal

There’s a new documentary making its way around the country about the Norwegian black metal scene. It’s called Until the Light Takes Us. Andrew O’Hehir reviewed it up at Salon last week. The filmmakers, Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell, actually moved to Norway to do this project and investigate a scene popularly shrouded in church burnings, murder, and white supremacy.

It lands in Chicago on 8 January and then in Milwaukee a couple weeks after that.
