If being in countless Hammer horror films, The Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars weren’t enough to prove Christopher Lee’s geek creds, he’s releasing an album of symphonic metal at age 87. From The Onion’s A.V. Club:
Videogum and The Guardian have the news that the 87-year-old actor plans to release a “symphonic metal” album about the life and career of Charlemagne, the first Holy Roman Emperor and a direct ancestor of Lee himself.
Mock if you must, but give the guy credit for not sitting around waiting to die. Samples below.
