Earliest Genesis Footage Surfaces

Footage of Genesis at the Atomic Sunrise Festival on 11 March 1970 has surfaced on YouTube. (No embedding available.) Presumably someone came across the film and is looking to auction it off.

This is the only video of the band with Anthony Phillips and John Mayhew. The footage includes performances by Hawkwind and David Bowie as well. Genesis fans get two clips – one of “Looking For Someone” and “The Knife”. The sound was overdubbed which raises the question of whether all the footage is silent or not.
