Show @221: Trombone Shorty in Madison ‘10

Trombone Shorty (a.k.a. – Troy Andrews) was here in Madison last month as part of the line-up for the La Fête de Marquette neighborhood festival. I was somewhere in the middle of the crowd with my ladyfriend drinking beer kindly bought by my friend Kias. It was quite a show.

I don’t know much about the man other than that he hails from the Treme neighborhood in New Orleans and plays a mean, funky trombone (and trumpet too).

He performed on the 11th of last month and luckily someone in the audience recorded his show. This is roughly the first half.
