Some great shows over the next couple days here in Madison.

Tonight Primus plays at the Orpheum. I will be there. I believe this is the first time that they’ve played in Madison since 26 February 1998 and the first time I’ve seen them since 1994. Not sure if I’m going to mosh or not.

For those not inclined to mosh pits, Robert Randolph and the Family Band will be at the Barrymore this evening as well.

The east side will be getting down tomorrow night as Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials play what is now a pretty regular gig for them at The Harmony. It seems like they’re here every few months which is a good thing.

Also tomorrow, Milwaukee’s Kings Go Forth headline The 2nd Annual Funk & Soul Revue at the Majestic.

Lastly, all the way from Japan come Melt Banana. They’ll be at the High Noon Saloon tomorrow night. I find the material I’ve heard by them to be hit or miss but I’d imagine things get taken to a different level in person.
