Marcus Theatres is a regional theatre chain with cinemas around the midwest. They have recently introduced the Theatre Entertainment Network which brings a variety of programs to the chain’s screens for limited runs from one to four days. There’s live comedy events, special history shows, classic American films, foreign films deemed not fit for a regular week-long run, and more. Amongst the programs are some music-related features. Well, besides the normal screenings of operas and musicals. Here’s what on tap for the next month or so:
Def Leppard’s Viva Hysteria concert film screens on 2 and 8 October.
CBGB, a documentary about the legendary New York club, screens on 17 and 22 October.
Lastly, there the documentary Searching for Sugar Man about two fans who try to find out what happened to American musician Sixto Rodriguez.
